Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme Ozev Grant Changes
The generous Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme (EVHS) from the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) will cease to exist in its current format from the end of March 2022.
This means that electric vehicle owners who live in their own home will no longer be able to apply for a grant to cover 75% of the costs (up to £350) of installing an electric vehicle charging point at their home.
From 1 April 2022, EV owners that own their own home will have to pay for the full cost of installing a charging point at home.
OZEV has confirmed that the changes that are coming into effect will change the focus of electric vehicle charging point grants to giving grants to have points installed in flats and apartment blocks, social housing and for landlords.

Who can benefit from the Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme?
Until the EVHS changes direction in April, there are only a few limitations on who can benefit from a grant of up to £350 to cover 75% of the cost of installing an electric vehicle charging point at your home:
You must own an electric vehicle or have one on order
You must have dedicated off-street parking at your property
